My cat Jeffrey attempted to engage in a cat battle recently. I observed as he carefully, tip toed his way towards Popeye, a neighbours cat who is much larger than Jeff.
As he approached, Jeffrey got nervous and when Popeye made a move towards him, Jeffrey escaped promptly behind my car wheel.
Not giving up, Popeye sat in front of my car wheel waiting for Jeffrey to come out, but Jeff is not just a pretty cat. He has 7 GCSE’s and an A level in English Lit.
Jeff decided that he would take a trip through the other cars parked and escape down the nearby alleyway whilst Popeye waits for him.
Popeye remained behind the wheel for a good 5 minutes before giving up and returning to his sun bathing spot.
I wonder how often we find ourselves in situations where a clever solution is needed. Wisdom in the complexities of life is something that many of us desire. So often life throws at us difficult decisions, situations and stresses, where a little bit of wisdom wouldn’t go a miss.
In the bible it says that ‘the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.’
I wonder, for what do you need wisdom for this week?
As you make those decisions, consult your creator. He has your best at heart. He desires to see you succeed in what you do.
He’ll give you wisdom. He’ll give you strength.
