How many of us have ever felt fooled?
I totally understand Jeremy’s reaction at the end. It’s a horrible feeling to know that you have been tricked and fell for it…especially on TV!
I think this world also fools us into believing lots of unhelpful things. How many people fall into the trap of believing lies in the areas of self image, worth, talent, trust, security and so much more?
Jesus said, ‘I am the way, the TRUTH and the life’ – Jesus came to show us truth. Truth about ourselves, truth about who we are and the purpose that we have. Truth about how much we are valued and loved. Truth about God and his involvement in our lives.
A Christian speaker I heard recently said, ‘The more truth you know, the less lies you believe’ (Bob Wallington)
Where are you discovering truth? What lies are you believing?
The bible says that the truth can ‘set you free’ – Let’s not get caught up in the foolish lies that the world so often presents us with, but instead, be set free by knowing the truth that comes from Jesus Christ.
