First off, apologies for not writing last week. There was hardly anytime to speak, let alone blog…
So, this week Chris Moyles, famous breakfast presenter on Radio One announces that he is leaving. Over 8 million listeners are now probably suffering whiplash after hearing the devastating news on their drive to work.

Chris Moyles leaving radio one is like Banoffee without the toffee. It’s like O2 without a signal. (Oooh, factual blog)
Now, whilst I wasn’t a committed listener, on occasions I would enjoy his banter and dominic the donkey has never left my head…
It’s interesting that as he pulls out, so many people are now in distress about which radio station they will now commit too. After all, it’s almost a sign of how cool you are. Radio One = Cool. Radio two = Almost OK, but a bit old man-ish… Radio three = Sorry?
I find it fascinating how one man and what he does can be the stakeholder of the show. Without him, radio one just wouldn’t be the same.
It’s amazing how someone can make such a difference and without that person, things wouldn’t be right.
As a Christian, I believe that this world, this universe, wouldn’t be the same without Jesus. In fact, on a personal level, my life wouldn’t be the same either.
Jesus came to earth to die on a cross and rise to life again. That was his purpose. It was also his choice, and he did it for me and for you, so that all the stuff in our life which isn’t worthy of a perfect God, could be erased.
Had Jesus chose not to die, we couldn’t connect with our perfect, Holy God. We would have been separated from him because in his perfection, he cannot be with us, yet in his love, he cannot be without us.
The world would not be the same without God. He is the author, sustainer and perfecter of life. Life in it’s fullness.
Awesome.
