Living a Hope-Filled Life

So here are a few reflections on how to live a hope-filled life.
I’ve written from a Christian perspective but if you don’t believe – read anyway and let me know your thoughts.

One way to hope? Interesting. Honour God. Put the situation in perspective. Remember how great and powerful God is. God is way beyond our situation and/or concern. It’s time to put God in his place.

‘Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us’  (Ephesians 3:20)

Optimism. Expect God’s favour in your life. You are his child and he values you. He wants the best for you and he’s got it all sorted. Nothing happens in your life, that God is not aware of. He is faithful. He is strong. He will sort it out. Pray and believe.

‘For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.’ (Psalm 5:12)

Persevere. Stick to your mission throughout. Be devoted to God. Keep going when things are tough because often, these times are seasons of change and growth. God uses them to bring about a greater work in you and through you.

‘You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.’
(Hebrews 10:36)

Encounter God. Invite him daily to walk with you. Don’t just have a ‘prayer time’, have a ‘prayer day’. Live in the presence of God.
He is a Holy, Almighty God who wants to connect with you.

In all things…‘Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.’
(Matthew 6:33)
